The Gene Steinberg saga has gotten out of hand.
And Mr. Steinberg hasn’t been curbed from begging for help or money; he has a new plea out today [4/30/14].
Circumstantially it appears to me that Mr. Steinberg has acted in ways not economically sound: buying a new car, and iPhone, and subscribing to satellite radio. (I also noticed in one of his pleas that his wife likes to watch HGTV shows, which are only available as part of a premium cable enrollment.).
The matter is peripheral to UFOs and Ufology, except for the fact that Mr. Steinberg uses his UFO fan base and subscriber lists to broadcast his monetary needs to.
But the Steinberg matter has become seedy and insane.
I have to walk away, not clear in my mind whether Mr. Steinberg is a sociopath, mentally disturbed, or in real need of financial help.
I like Steinberg’s take on UFOs, and he did have a dust-up with the loathsome Alfred Lehmberg, so that’s a plus in his favor.
But his alleged financial needs or non-needs are out in the open, and the UFO community can decide whether or not to take a side.
For me, the matter is closed.
